General:
Deciduous, erect shrub, 0.5-1.5 m tall; twigs hairy to glabrous.
Leaves:
Opposite, on stalks 1-4 mm long, egg-shaped to elliptic, 1-5 cm long, 0.5-2.5 cm wide, entire, glabrous or hairy.
Fruits:
Berrylike drupes, white, broadly ellipsoid, 7-10 mm long; nutlets 2, each with 1 seed.
